The Process
The goal is to ensure that you get the images you need, on time and on budget. This is my process to ensure that happens every time.
01
Discovery Meeting
Either in person or by phone, I want to learn more about your project and what I can do to best produce the images you're looking for.
02
Agreement
If you choose to move forward, I will produce a project document for your approval. The document will include project deliverables, rate schedule with cost estimates, as well as all licensing and cost sharing information you need.
03
Project Pre Meeting
Whenever possible, it's best practice for us to walk down the project prior to the day of the shoot. This allows us to discuss and select key and secondary compositions, choose the best time of day for each composition, decide on the inclusion of models, and finalize our pre shoot preparation checklist
04
Photoshoot
The big day. This starts with equipment setup and checklist review. To get the most out of your investment, please ensure all items on the agreed upon checklist are completed prior to arrival and setup.
05
Post Process & Delivery
Your project document will include specific timelines on when to expect your images for review. All key compositions will be delivered fully edited and ready for use. Secondary compositions will be delivered in a semi edited state to be approved of for final editing and licensing.

Licensing
When it comes to commercial photography, we structure our pricing to give you flexibility and control over your investment. Instead of charging a flat rate for a large batch of images — many of which you may not need — we work on a per-image licensing model. This means you’re only paying for the specific images you choose to license and use.
This model offers several key benefits:
- Only pay for the level of licensing that you need
- Only pay for the amount of images you need
- focuses our attention on delivering the specific images that meet your needs
In simple terms, a license grants your business the rights to use specific images in specific ways. It’s not about ownership of the photo, but about how, where, and for how long you’re allowed to use it. This is a common and transparent industry practice, and it ensures that usage is fair for both the client and the photographer.
Standard Licenses Include:
- 2 yrs Local & Regional Marketing
- 2 yrs online marketing
- Unlimited portfolio usage
- Architectural & Design Award Submission
Other licensing options available:
*5yr , 10yr, & Perpetual commercial use
*Reproduction
*Unlimited national/international
* Resale/Relicense/Rights Buy Out
Cost Sharing Explained
Many of our commercial photography clients — from architects and designers to builders and property developers — collaborate with other firms on projects. In these cases, multiple parties may find value in using the final images for their own marketing, portfolios, or publications.
That’s where cost sharing comes in.
Rather than one company shouldering the full cost of the photography and licensing, cost sharing allows project collaborators to split the investment and each receive a license to use the images.
